Age gives a different effect on brain function in the
process of receiving a second language. Several studies have shown that the
sooner children receive a second language because they have a brain that is
still good flexibility in adjusting to the new language situation. Meanwhile,
there are also studies that prove that the adult is better in terms of second
language acquisition because adults have a vocabulary that is more power and
good analysis of the grammar of a foreign (second language learned).As raised in this long-term study, younger people somewhat
better in the most crucial areas, where they are able to have a pronunciation
which is almost close to native speakers. Meanwhile, the long-term learning
that emerges is that older learners in the achievement of the basic profitable;
their speed in understanding aspects of morphology and syntax are likely to be
temporary and disappear after a few months later in some language skills and
this will only survive if they involve younger learners as friends in learning.The age difference affects the speed and success of learning
a second language on aspects of phonology, morphology, and syntax; but does not
affect the acquisition sequence. In second language acquisition includes the
acquisition of semantic, syntactic acquisition, and the acquisition of
phonology. The third aspect is a component of grammar in a process of
competence.
