THE CLASSROOM: CLT AND TASK-BASED TEACHING
Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is well known as an approach.
It means
that approaching is study of the nature of language and of language learning
and teaching. CLT more focuses on traditional practice than presentation and
discussion of grammatical rules.
There
are four interconnected characteristics as a definition of CLT:
- Classroom goal: it focuses all of the components of CC without consider the grammatical or linguistic competence.
- Language techniques: engaging learners in the pragmatic, authentic, functional use of language for meaningful purposes.
- Fluency and accuracy: it needs for complementary principles underlying communicative techniques.
- It has specific purpose such as making students have to use language productively and receptively.
Some
non-native speaking teachers feel simple in term of dialogs, drills, exercises,
and discussion of grammatical rules.
in order to teach successfully, the teachers can use some technologies such as technologies.

functions:
1. Classroom interaction
2. learner centered teaching

According to David Nunan (2004), there are two kinds of tasks:
1. Target tasks
uses of language in the world beyond in the classroom.
2. Pedagogical tasks
uses of language in the classroom.
